Beth & Ren’s Badger Farms Wedding

I love this couple!  I usually don’t play favorites, but they might be one of my favorite couples for 2012.  They met through Match.com (love it!) and soon realized they were perfect for each other.  They share a love of travel, missions work, and have a deep faith that solidly unites their relationship.  Talking with them as they were planning their wedding, it was obvious how important their family is to them, and how much they value the sanctity of marriage.  And this was reflected all throughout their day.  From the heirloom handkerchief given to Ren many years ago to give to his future wife that Beth wrapped around her bouquet, to the family wedding photos displayed at their reception.  Little details like this were woven in everywhere, it was just lovely!

Beth & Ren planned a small intimate affair for the closest people in their lives at a charming farm just outside Madison.  The day couldn’t have been more perfect!  Crisp fall air just came in the day before, but it was still a beautiful sunny day, perfect for their vows at Badger Farms.

I am in LOVE with Beth’s brooch bouquet!  She collected these and scoured antique stores for months, and it turned out gorgeous!

Beth & Ren decided to do a First Look and see each other before their ceremony – I love this moment of anticipation when the bride is about to see the groom for the first time!

Beth let me know ahead of time that she had planned a surprise for Ren – a footvwashing.  This was such a sweet and personal moment for the two of them, and I felt so honored to be able to witness such a deep act of service and love.

He could NOT stop looking at her like this.  All. Day. Long.

Beth, you are gorgeous!

Favorite bridal party shot:)

Married!

Oh my goodness, this was the best idea EVER!  Apple cider and donuts, how could one go wrong?  It was the perfect fall alternative to cocktail hour, and absolutely delicious.

Since the sun was setting a bit early with the clouds coming in, we ran off for a few relaxed portraits of the Beth & Ren, and not only were they happy to oblige, but they were SO easy to photograph!  The photo below left was captured by my second shooter, Althea, while I snapped the one on the right.

One of my favorites.

We moved inside for dinner, dessert, and dancing.  I loved all the little details Beth used, and I’m always a sucker for a dessert bar…

Beth explained that each of the chains linked together represented the number of dates for her and Ren.  It was well over 200!

With a small crowd, there wasn’t as much dancing, but they did plan for an anniversary dance.  This lovely woman “won” and gave them the most hilarious advice:  “Listen to what SHE says!”   Ha!

Congrats, you two!  Enjoy your honeymoon in Mexico and California:)
